THE ROLE OF CHANAKYA AS TEACHER!!

Chanakya also known as “Kautilaya” is one of the utmost teachers in Indian history, who is the founder of ‘Arthshastra’an old Indian thesis on governance, economic policy and military strategy.  He termed as the greatest guide, mentor and philosopher in the Indian history who created great rulers like Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusar and Ashoka. He not only formed great kings, but also united fragmented states into “Akhand Bharat” (Undivided India), which constituted the areas of modern India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan and some parts of Iran. He mastered in the ‘Arthshastra’ and his teachings are still, pursued by today’s youth. He studied and later taught in Taxila University (In modern Afghanistan) that was famous for training students to fight with the help of ear and eyes blindfold. He has given a number of lessons for students and teachers; hence, I will focus only on the relationships between teacher and student.
His father Chanak coined his son as “Chanakya”. He was a teacher himself and he knew the role of education in the life of a person. Taxila was the world leader in education at that time. At an early age, little Chanakya started studying Vedas and Upanishads. His memory was too sharp that when he read/studied something he could not forget that easily. His father was his tutor and he learnt many lessons from him, he was more interested in politics. In politics, Chanakya’s sharpness and reasonableness was observable right from the childhood. He was known as a clever political strategist and often famous for the observing the strategy of opposite camp, destroying them without any deficit. He was a top quality person in revolving tables in his errand irrespective of any conditions. He never shunt to pressure tactics by the ruthless leaders of that era, what is clear from this – If you have strong will power and you know your goal no situation can stop you. In this method after observing religion and politics, he moved his focus to economics that became his friend throughout the life.
A teacher and a student who can have very good role in the society must come forward without any self-gain. They can lay the foundation of a great nation; a good teacher can guide a student who can later be the leader. The sacrifices of a teacher develop a better society and eventually an immense nation. There are many good lessons/teachings written in Chankyaniti and I trust that we should read that.
Taxila was one of the topmost educational centers at that time and it became Chanakya’s procreation ground by getting knowledge in various practical and theoretical aspects. At that time, lecturers use to teach in a number of subjects and various practical arts. Chanakya was such a mentor for Chandragupta-Ashoka, who guided them and made them such great leaders. What we can know from the life of Chanakya? He dedicated his whole life for the nation, for unity of Bharat and he achieved that, he never expected any benefit for himself. His life was, based upon selflessness principle and that is what a teacher must reflect on the society. He was a great teacher, Chandragupta never questioned his mentor ever, and he trusted the abilities of Chanakya that is what made him a grand king. Such examples are enough to understand the role of teacher and student, these examples clarify really better how good teacher, and a dedicated student can lead a nation.
On teacher’s day, I thought to share about great teacher Chanakya, whose role is unforgettable in the history of India. A person, who fought against Alexander without any army or weapons, but he defeated him by his wittiness. The role of a teacher is essential for nation building and I suppose as a student we should not, disrespect our educators and our parents. It is due to them that we achieve our goals in our life. Their role must be, remembered throughout the life. What I believe we should never cross our limits when we are dealing with our teachers.

HE WAS A HERO!!

The problem with India is that we remember our heroes occasionally, like for their birthday or on some event related to them. I believe heroes must be remembered not on some occasion, but always, their journey must be taught in school books, but it does not happen (exceptions are there). Such a hero is – Major Dhyanchand who is also termed as ‘WIZARD OF HOCKEY’, who played for India (under British rule) for consecutively three Olympics and clinched the gold every time. His superb footwork, ball control and exceptional talent gave him the attention and respect of people worldwide.
He played hockey for 25 years and scored more than 400 goals, but why am I talking about this? You can get any information related to Major Dhyanchand from the internet, as India celebrated its sports day yesterday and "Major Sahab" is the biggest sports icon in the nation. Any other hockey player could never repeat what he accomplished for the nation. He started his hockey in poverty and I am ashamed to say that he ended in poverty. What he actually deserved, he never got and the Indian political system failed him. Politicians never showed the respect he deserved when he was alive. Yes, after his death some stadiums, some awards and some sports authorities got his name, but that is not enough.
Major Sahab has done a lot for the nation, but the respect and financial security that designated for him he never got that. He never requested any assistance from the Govt. instead, he said that my job was to play for the nation-I did that, now its Govt.’s duty to take my care. He died due to liver cancer believe me! His last days were too alone and terrible, in poverty, got no medical treatment and other facilities, no one paid any attention towards him. He was a patriot; no doubt on that, he served his nation really well. I use to respect his spirit and his never give-up spirit. I usually imagine that history and the nation never did justice to him. From Sir Donald Bradman to Adolf Hitler, everybody were included in his fan following. He never left the nation for money; he never played for money or fame. He played because he loved the game!
Here are some of the lesser-known facts about Major Sahab:-

     1. There is a sports academy/club in Vienna that has a statue of Major Dhyanchand having four arms and four hockey sticks to demonstrate just how magical his skills were.
·        2. The authorities in the Japan & Netherlands broke his hockey stick to see if there was a magnet inside.
·       3. Great Australian batsman Sir Don Bradman met Dhyanchand in Adelaide in 1935. After watching him play, Bradman remarked, "He scores goals like runs in cricket".
·     4. After an inspiring show at the Berlin Olympics, Hitler offered Dhyanchand German citizenship and a position in the German Military, which he declined.
·       5.  He joined the Indian Army at the age of 16 and took up hockey while he was, still admitted. Since Dhyan Singh used to practice so much during the night, he was given the nickname "Chand" by his fellow players; his perform sessions at night always coincided with the moon rise. ‘Chand’ means moon in Hindi.
·        6. Once, when he was not able to score in a match, he argued with the match referee about the dimensions of the goal post. To everybody’s astonishment, he was correct; the goal post found to be in contravention of the official minimum width offered under the international rules.

I hope now Government would not do any injustice on any player, what Major Sahab felt. I hope his hard work and his life inspire a number of young players to play hockey for the nation. I hope Government of India honor him with the highest civilian award "BHARAT RATNA" soon. May new generation players learn the rules of will power and dedication from his life! I hope I expressed my views in a better way.
Thanks for reading!

MY PREDICTION OF DELHI!!!

On 10 February 2015, the people of Delhi choose AAP in the assembly elections, with a massive mandate of 67/70. I usually call AAP as All Andua Party, Dharna Party, Khujliwal Union of Anarchy and many more. Here, I will not talk in a sarcastic manner and I will expose each and every promise made by them in the election manifesto. First of all, let us talk about the geographic condition and powers provided to the Delhi.
STATEHOOD-
The Delhi state has been promised a full statehood by the AAP, but as per article 239AA and 239AB by Indian constitution the job is not easy, plus it will take a long procedure by the central Government to make amendments. You cannot just go and demand for a statehood, and prime minister will offer you a state just in few seconds, no it is not going to happen. Also, the area of Delhi is 1434  and the smallest state of India is Goa, whose area is 3702 . Therefore, if Delhi becomes a state other Union Territories will demand statehood too. Hence the idea is not doable.
FREE WIFI & CAMERAS-
Well, this thing will please a number of youngsters. We love Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, YouTube and surfing. The party promises free uninterrupted wi-fi all over Delhi and believe me it is extremely cost and you just cannot make financial loss due to this, you have to make roads, fly-over bridges, school and other important infrastructure. Therefore, believe me, you cannot deny other promises and just focus on connectivity.
Also the party said they are going to install 15 Lac cameras all over the state, seriously! They think people are joker? How the hell they will install this much! Let us do some calculation
The cost of one camera = Rs 1000 (assume)
No. of cameras to be installed = 1500000
Total assumed cost = 1500000 x 1000 = 1,50,000,00,00 INR.
Just have a look at this number, why the hell they think it is possible when Delhi doesn’t have any income source. It depends upon the Central Government completely and believe me central Government would not spend this much only for one state. It requires a number of people to do the surveillance and also maintenance cost is another factor. The cost of these cameras goes higher to near about 2,00,000,00,00 INR per year. Look at the foolishness of these AAP idiots. Seriously, they made the joke of Delhi.
COST EFFECTIVE ELECTRICITY & WATER-
It requires 5,000 Crores INR to make an electric power production house and it usually takes 3-5 years to make it functionalize either Solar or Hydroelectric. The solution is not there at least in the next few years. You cannot just give electricity in half rates, as Delhi is dependent upon the other states for electricity. If you are thinking for a CAG audit, believe me Arvind you would not find anything much in that audit. If you give electricity in subsidy it will create a financial deficit after a time, so Mr. Kejriwal you have no choice, hence stop fooling people. The Delhi doesn’t have much land so AAP do not show dreams of 500 Schools and 20 Colleges, I lived there and I know it's impractical!
If you are thinking for rainwater harvesting it is too costly, and do not forget you have no alternative and you cannot blame the central govt. for your failure. Delhi has no natural river, forget Yamuna, it is already polluted. Delhi depends upon Haryana for water and Haryana would not compromise with its people. They will look at the Haryana people first and then they will think of Delhi. Therefore, another option is unachievable.
I know Arvind Kejriwal when he finds extreme pressure; he has a habit of running. He was an IRS officer he quitted, he went to the missionary of Mother Teresa he quitted, he started NGO he quitted, he joined Anna Hazare he quitted from there as well, he was a cm for 49 days and he quitted from there. He has a habit of leaving his place every time; I mean he cannot bear the pressure. He is a loser and he will always be a loser, he makes a sad face in front of the public and achieves sympathy. He will quit from the position of CM of Delhi after 2 or 2.5 years, before 2017 and will blame NDA for it. I know his habits he can shoot and then he use to run. The solution of the problems, he doesn’t have. People of Delhi are seriously in a bigger threat as the load of electricity in summer increases in that part. When load increases the demand increases and rates also increases. A state which has no income source except VAT (value added tax), how the hell the promises will take place. Seriously! People of Delhi have made a wrong choice and we will see anarchy and protest against central govt. by them. A loser will always be a loser and NDA govt. must find a way to tackle them every time.

The NaMo Story - Part #2

A lot of things have occurred since my last post on this topic. This series is related to the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi. In the last article, I have discussed about his life, especially his childhood, his struggles, and his devotion towards almighty. Being a CM of Gujarat, his achievements, his challenges, his attitude for good governance and his strive against Gujarat riots.
We all know in the Lok Shabha elections, 2014, due to his power packed campaigned B.J.P won the full majority. It is a record of its kind, because after thirty years, i.e. since 1984 no political party; has ever won a majority in general elections. There are a number of regional and national parties in India and it’s not easy to win an absolute majority in this nation. But due to the “Modi magic”, a political party won 282 Lok Shabha seats, he is our PM for the last six months and he is working really hard to change the scenario and the mind set of the people. Whether it’s in agriculture sector, research, governance, business, etc. take any sector, he is looking forward eagerly to achieve good results for the nation.
When he took the charge as 16th prime minister, since then it has been a 11 rupees reduction in petrol prices and 5 rupees reduction in diesel prices. I know the rates are decided by world markets/barrel, and these days the prices are really low in international market, but for the last five years, this reduction was absent, the rates used to increase that time but now the situation is different. He has started a “Jan-Dhan” Yojana; by this many millions of people will get a direct benefit into their bank accounts. The inflation rates are really low at the present scenario; in October month it was 1.7%, which is the lowest number of the last six years. Many business enterprises are willing to come and invest in India, which is changing the world’s view about us. It will generate more job opportunities and employment for the youngsters.
Recently in the assembly elections, “Modi magic”, in Haryana and Maharashtra B.J.P won with a respected margin. It was a collective effort by leaders of this party, but believe me it was trusted on Narendra Modi, by the people. The situations are not in favor of the present Government but they are working so hard, to change the perspective and situation of the country. I hope our Government will achieve what they desire.

Right now, the PM is in Australia to attend the G-20 summit and he has raised the issue of terror funding & black money, strongly among the top leaders of the world. American president, German Chancellor, British PM etc. all are appreciating the efforts of Modi with a big heart. These days I am observing a good change in the atmosphere, a new energy, an energy which is positive, which is for the welfare of the nation, which is dedicated to the nation and this energy is Narendra Modi.

Satyamev Jayate

Well, Today I saw an episode of “Satyamev Jayate” and it was focussed on the role of sports in the life of an individual. You may say what’s new in this we know about it, but the way Aamir Khan presented this show was amazing. I was a sportsman too during my school and college life, I have a good experience and knowledge of sports, but the way “Satyamev Jayate” happened today I was delighted. Seriously this television show is my all time favourite and I never miss any episode. They raise all the issues which have major concern with the Indian society. They show true picture of any issue, related personal experiences and they also tell the solution to overcome that issue. I mean they bring positivity by a great eye-opener episode; every episode of “Satyamev Jayate” is a big secret until it gets on-air.
Today in the first episode of season-3, they talked about role of sports in an individual’s life. They talked about a guy who was a gangster once, but one football changed his life. He was transformed from a goon to a sober guy. They gave a good example of Phogat sisters from Haryana who got success by fighting against all odds, survived from the social humiliation and brought glory for their family and nation. Their father gave a very good reply to society when they were practising wrestling in their village that if a woman can be a Prime minister why she can’t be a wrestler. Wow! What a thinking he has. Next they gave an example of Subham Jaglan a nine year old golfer who has won 110 tournaments till now. Our country has a great talent and potential these three examples were enough to explain that. We have a huge amount of talent, it’s clear.
Now what is the problem? I mean why we are not successful in clinching gold medals in Olympics, why we struggle in getting one gold in the mega event. Why we don’t learn from China, they have excellent infrastructure, management and people who really contribute for the nation without any self gain. We should learn from our neighbour nations who are smaller in size as compared to India but they perform better in sports than India.

We should set free our sports administration from political interference. It is sucking our talent and calibre; they usually prefer their favourite persons in the teams, and the people who have no resources faces degradation from them. Seriously a talented person should get enough chances to show his talents in every field. We should expect good performers in sports not some people who are there due to the favour of few politicians. I expect our new Govt. to make a law against those politicians who spoil the sports and play dirty politics there. I hope our parents will wake up and let their children to play any sport which ever they like. They shouldn’t force their child to do what they want; they should set him/her free to choose their career. I hope our Indian society will learn something from our sports heroes. I hope my country will perform better in Rio 2016!
